LEDAP being committed to rights-based solutions to the COVID-19 is increasing access to justice resources for the most vulnerable criminal suspects and inmates during the pandemic and to document instances of human rights violation, because the scale and severity of the COVID-19 pandemic clearly rises to the level of a public health threat that could justify restrictions on certain rights, such as those that result from the imposition of quarantine or isolation limiting freedom of movement, LEDAP in partnership with MacArthur Foundation, has facilitated the installation of I.T. equipments to enable virtual court proceedings in accordance with the COVID 19 directives.
LEDAP is also enabling access to justice for persons purportedly violating COVID 19 lockdown regulations and circulates weekly newsletters to its over 5000 subscriber.
