Chinonye Edmund Obiagwu (SAN)

The Founding director and current National Coordinator

He is the founding Director and later National Coordinator (1999) with executive responsibilities. He has degrees in philosophy, and in law.

His areas of practice are Maritime Law, Banking and International Trade, Public Law, Arbitration and Mediation, Criminal and Appeal Litigation.

He holds Bachelor of Arts Degree in Philosophy from University of Nigeria, Nsukka, (1986) and Bachelor of Laws Degree, University of Ibadan in (1991), both on second class upper division. He attended the Nigerian Law School, (1991-1992), qualified on second class upper division and called to the Nigerian Bar on December 17, 1992. He was conferred a Senior Advocate of Nigeria in 2018.

Adaobi Egboka (Mrs.)

 

 

Adaobi Egboka

(Mrs.) is a legal practitioner. She began her professional career with LEDAP in 2007 and was until July, 2009 a Legal Officer/Project Coordinator.

Prior to her work with LEDAP, she provided research and administrative support to Hon. Justice Adefope-Okojie of the Lagos State Judiciary as a youth corps member. Adaobi is a published writer; a gender equality and disability expert and very vase in policy and governance issues.

She earned an LL.B. from the University of Lagos and a Barrister-at-law degree from the Nigerian Law School. She is the 2013/2014 PILnet International Fellow and served as an intern at Center for Reproductive Rights in New York.

Pamela Okoroigwe (Mrs.)

 

 

Pamela Okoroigwe (Mrs.) is the Executive Programme Manager. She co-ordinates programmes on Women’s Rights and Access to Justice in the organization. Pamela has a flair for cases of Human Rights violations and has successfully challenged and defended several cases of right violation in court. She is in charge of the day to day functioning of the organization. She is responsible for organizational focus and growth, oversees LEDAP’s advocacy strategy, delivers pro bono legal services to survivors of human rights abuses, and manages all legal and program staff.

She holds a bachelor degree in Law from Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka and has been called to the Nigeria Bar. Pamela has a Masters degree in Law from the University of Lagos. She is a Chartered Secretary and Administrator and also a member of Nigerian Bar Association.

Chisom Ihekwaba

Chisom Ihekwaba is a Legal/Programme officer with the organization. As the regional head, Northcentral, she coordinates and implements the organization’s programmes across Northern Nigeria. Her experience spans from litigation, public interest matters, to issues on gender rights, human security programmes, and criminal justice reforms. She holds a Law degree from Enugu State University of Science and Technology, Nigeria, and is currently rounding up her Masters degress at the Nasarawa State University, Keffi, Nigeria. She is a member of the Nigeria Bar Association (NBA) and FIDA.

Ijeoma Pamela Akubue (Mrs.)

Ijeoma Pamela Akubue (Mrs.) is a lawyer with over 10years post-call legal experience. She possesses a Masters Degree (LL.M) in International Law and Development (2012) from University of Nottingham, United Kingdom. She joined LEDAP in September, 2019 and focuses on litigation. She is passionate about social justice issues particularly the promotion and protection of women and children’s rights as well developmental issues like elections and trade. Her hobbies are traveling and badminton.

Sa’adatu Umar Babayi

Sa’adatu Umar Babayi is a lawyer with over 7 years post-call experience and the Adamawa State Programme Coordinator. She is a member of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA)

Chizoba Ezeani

Chizoba Ezeani is a lawyer. She obtained her LL.B and B.L. degree from Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, Anambra state and Nigerian Law School respectively. She is a member of the Nigerian Bar Association. She joined the organization in 2019 and is a project/legal officer.

Precious Nwadike

Precious Nwadike is a lawyer. She obtained her LL.B and B.L. degree from Imo State University and Nigerian Law School respectively. She is a member of the Nigerian Bar Association. She joined the organization in 2019 and is a project/legal officer.
